Individual Out of State League Play
For Michigan residents looking to play out-of-state for league play, please register here. The link will take you to GotSport to register the player with the MSYSA Out-Of-State team for their gender. Once approved on that team, the state where they will be participating in league play for the seasonal year will be able to see that Michigan has approved them to do so.

Processed by The Tournament Center, use the Guest Player Loan Form when a player residing in Michigan will be playing in a tournament as a guest player for a team they are not normally registered to.
Players who are currently registered on a team and already have a valid Passcard with that team will only need to complete the Guest Player Loan Form. No payment or additional materials are required as they will not need a Guest Player Passcard – the player will use their Passcard from their original team.
There is a $25 fee for Guest Player Passcards. Please click here to pay.

Please Note: Players 18 years and older are required to complete Adult Athlete Risk Management (AARM) which includes a background screen and SafeSport certification. If your team doesn’t have an assigned “Team ID” simply enter “MSYSA” where applicable.
Tournament Only Teams:
A Tournament Only Team is a team for the sole purpose of playing in tournament(s). All standard player registration and team rostering rules apply including age eligibility, roster size and coach requirements. Tournament only teams are valid for the seasonal year; expiring on July 31st. Please allow 10 business days from the date all information is received by MSYSA for the TOT to be completed and rosters and passcards made available.

**The deadline to make TOT roster changes is NOON on Thursday.
1.) Create the desired team as you would in GotSport under your club account. | Do not list the team in any ‘event’. MSYSA will move the team into the ‘Tournament Only Team’ event after the below steps are completed. If you do not have access to a GotSport club account, please contact Elizabeth Satterley to create the team esatterley@michiganyouthsoccer.org For MSYSA-created TOTs, an excel spreadsheet with all pertinent player information is required. 2.) Documents required to be sent to MSYSA for players on a TOT | Proof of Birth for each player (e.g.: Birth Certificate, State Issued ID, Passport). Scan all players’ proof of birth in alphabetical order by surname as one document in pdf format only. A color photo of each player should be added to their GotSport player profiles. If sending photos for MSYSA staff to upload, please make sure each photo is labelled with the players first and last name. Parent/Athlete Acknowledgement Form for all players on the roster. 3.) Documents required to be completed for coaches/ managers on a TOT | Valid Risk Management card (from MSYSA background check) for all team officials on the roster If your coach/ manager does not have a GotSport account, please contact esatterley@michiganyouthsoccer.org ASAP to create an account and begin this risk management process. It could take 10+ days to complete the background check. Keep this in mind when planning your timeline. Valid CDC Heads-Up Concussion certificate (CDC Heads-Up Concussion training must be taken every 3 years.) Valid SafeSport certificate for any Team Official to be named on the roster. SafeSport needs to be re-taken yearly NOTE: CDC Heads-Up Concussion training and SafeSport Training can be accessed through your GotSport coach or manager account |

Please keep in mind
- Players playing on a TOT roster can appear on other team/club rosters
- TOTs are not valid for league play/participation
- TOTs are valid for a seasonal year and it can be used as many times as needed throughout that seasonal year
- Tournament Only Player Passcards cannot be used as a “Club Passcarded” or “Guest Passcarded” player for league games.
- Tournament Only Teams may use Guest Players
- Players can be added or removed from a TOT at any time by emailing esatterley@michiganyouthsoccer.org at no additional cost.
- Tournament Only Teams traveling to out of state tournaments must complete the online submission for a Notification to Travel.
